What is MacKay?

Canadian company MacKay Meters designs and manufactures parking meters and related software solutions for cities and municipalities. MacKay creates durable, weather-resistant, and easy-to-use parking meters that offer a range of payment options, including coins, credit cards, and mobile payments. Many of their meters are also equipped with advanced features like real-time monitoring and reporting, remote management, and customizable pricing structures.

Why is this integration important?

MacKay sends parking session events to Passport, which can then be used for enforcement monitoring and in Passport’s Parking Ecosystem Insights dashboards.

This parking data, in conjunction with data from Passport’s parking app, provides operators with reporting across their parking ecosystem. 

Where is this integration available?

MacKay Meters data is currently available for integration for any US cities and operators that use MacKay.

Note: Canadian operators are not supported currently.

Who is the intended audience?

This Events v3 Ingestion Integration provides cities, operators, and municipalities who have MacKay parking meters with consolidated reporting (i.e., Ecosystem Reporting).

MacKay is now a certified integration, meaning that Passport’s Client Success team can enable this integration upon request with no effort required from the customer.
