Notifications and Restrictions Overview

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Overview

This feature will affect parkers who use the app in one of two ways:

  • Notification: The parker will receive an in-app message.

  • Restriction: The parker will be prevented from starting a parking session in a specific zone, space, or rate on a specific date/time.

Note: Restrictions can be attached to a rate, zone or space. In each case, the attachment provides a way to specify criteria upon which a restriction will applied.

  • Example: If Zones 1-100 are all assigned with the same rate, you can assign the Restriction to the rate instead of having to assign the restriction to each of the 100 zones. This means you can achieve the desired configuration in fewer steps.
  • Example: When new zones/spaces are associated to the rate, you could attach the Restriction to that rate instead of having to continually add additional zones/space to a restriction.
