Overview
Passport’s Parking Benchmarking reports provide cities like yours with data-driven points of reference so you can:
compare your operations and outcomes against other cities
improve your operations and outcomes by applying insights gleaned from other cities
Rather than operating in a void of information and struggling to get city leaders to support policy changes and to gauge the impacts of those changes, you will be more able to easily answer questions such as:
“What outcomes should we target in our city regarding gross per session, unique active users, or average number of extensions per session?”
“How do our operations compare with other cities?”
How Does It Work?
Cities can choose to add Performance Benchmarking to their suite of Passport products.
While other solutions on the market share anonymous data for free, Passport’s transparency will ensure that the data feels more trustworthy. Since you will be able to share verifiable data for all participating cities, city officials will be more inclined to base policy and operations decisions on this data.
How Do the Free and Premium Versions Differ?
Note: Both versions of the dashboard allow you to compare against as many other operators as you like.
Free Version
The free version, available to everyone, provides the following features with no commitment to purchase and no cancellation penalties.
Unique Active Users by Date Range. When the dashboard displays only the logged in user’s operator’s data, this tile displays the total number of unique average users in the selected date range. When additional operators are filtered onto the dashboard, this tile displays a delta that shows how the logged in user’s operator’s data compares to the average of those other operators.
Note: The date range for the free version is set to the last rolling 12 months, while the premium version allows you to view any date range.
Note: The free version allows you to view data by month, while the premium version allows you to view the data by year, month, week, or day.
Average Paid Session Duration. When the dashboard displays only the logged in user’s operator’s operator’s data, this tile displays the average paid session duration. When additional operators are filtered onto the dashboard, this tile displays a delta that shows how the logged in user’s operator’s data compares to the average of those other operators.
Average Gross Revenue per Session. When the dashboard displays only the logged in user’s operator’s operator’s data, this tile displays the average gross revenue per session. When additional operators are filtered onto the dashboard, this tile displays a delta that shows how the logged in user’s operator’s data compares to the average of those operators.
Unique Active Users by Interval. The number of individual users who parked at least once during each interval for the selected date range. For example, if the date range is January through February and the user parked once during each month, they are considered a unique active user for both January and February.
Average Sessions per Unique User by Interval. The average number of sessions per unique user during each interval for the selected date range. For example, if two users park twice in January and the same two users park once in February, then the average number of sessions per unique user is two in January and one in February.
Percentage of Unique Users with Two Sessions or Less by Interval. The percentage of unique users during each interval for the selected date range. For example, if the same user created one session in January and three sessions in February, they would be counted as a unique user with two sessions or less in January, but not counted in February.
Average Number of Extensions per Session. The total number of session extensions, divided by the number of sessions for the selected date range.
Average Number of Extensions per Unique User by Interval. Total number of session extensions, divided by the number of unique users during each interval for the selected date range.
Number of Sessions per Weekend (Saturday - Sunday). Total number of sessions that occurred on weekends for the selected date range.
Number of Sessions per Weekday (Monday - Friday). Total number of sessions that occurred on weekdays for the selected date range.
Percentage of Sessions Occurring on Weekdays. Percentage of sessions that occurred on weekdays for the selected date range.
Average Paid Session Duration. Average duration for each paid session for the selected date range.
Average Gross Revenue per Session. Average gross revenue per session for the selected date range. This calculation includes parking fee + convenience fee + tax.
