Overview

The City Profiles lab, introduced into Passport’s portal in July 2023, provided an innovative way for municipalities to share data. After opting in to Passport’s data-sharing program, users completed a questionnaire that provided information about their municipality’s parking and enforcement program. Users were then enabled to view the responses for other participating municipalities.

Our Findings

During the course of this lab, 40 municipalities opted into the data-sharing program, and 24 created City Profiles. These 24 City Profiles users benefited from learning about each other’s programs and policies in a free, fast, and user-friendly way.

Next Steps

The success of the City Profiles lab spurred Passport to launch a premium version of City Profiles that enables users to perform comparative analysis and receive automated insights. We will continue to build upon the initial success of City Profiles and the companion feature, Performance Benchmarking.
