Modified on Fri, 16 Jun 2023 at 04:45 PM

Overview

The OpsMan Mobile version 1.10.110 improvement adds a prompt to an existing menu option that allows you to check the battery life of your connected printer.

  • Note: This update only applies when your device has been connected to a Zebra printer.

Details

To view this improvement, select the connected Zebra printer from the OpsMan Mobile menu.

  • Note: If you have not connected a printer, the menu will display “Connect.”

The Check Battery feature lets you know the estimated health of the battery based on the number of cycles the battery has completed. The battery keeps track of how many cycles it has completed (one cycle indicates the battery has been completely used then recharged). The more cycles a battery has completed, the more frequently it will need to be recharged.

  • Note: After a significant number of cycles have been completed, the battery may not be able to provide the power needed to print a full ticket.

When you are connected to a Zebra printer, you can select from two options:

  1. Locate Printer

  2. Check Battery

    1. If the battery is in working order, one of two options will display:

      • “The printer battery is low (2%). Please charge or replace the battery.”

      • “Printer battery: 92%”

    2. If the battery is not in working order, one of two options will display:

      • “The Printer battery cycle lifespan is exceeded. Please replace it with a new battery.”

      • “The Printer battery cycle lifespan is almost exceeded. Please replace it with a new battery.”

    3. If an issue prevents the battery from being assessed, this error message will display:

      • “Could not check printer battery.”
