Overview
Administrative users now have the ability to manage violation types directly in portal without needing to submit a support request. This feature is available for operator users and internal Passport users who have the appropriate permissions.
Who Can Use This?
- Operator administrators can manage violation types for their organization
- The Client Implementation team can enter violation types on behalf of an operator (at the permission of the operator)
- Violation types can be added individually or in bulk using a CSV upload
Key Considerations
- The new portal interface is similar to OpsMan Web with most fields and functions intact, however some older fields have been retired
- The Bulk Add/Edit feature excludes certain fields to prevent unintended changes
- Example: The “boot” violation is not included to avoid accidental immobilization connections
- Important to note: Changes apply only moving forward
- If you update a violation type (e.g., change a fine from $30 to $40), only new citations will reflect the new amount
- Deleted violation types are not retroactive - If you delete a violation type, past citations with that type will remain in the system but cannot be used for future citations
- Important to note: Support Requests Still Required for Some Actions
- If you create a new violation type and need a corresponding collection/notice template, you must submit a support ticket
